Information Notice on the Processing of Personal Data
As ChildSafely (hereinafter referred to as the "Platform" or "Data Controller"), we show utmost care to protect your fundamental rights and freedoms while ensuring the safety of our children, parents, and educators in the digital world.
This Information Notice has been prepared in accordance with Article 10 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK") and relevant legislation, to transparently inform you about the method of collecting your personal data, the purposes of processing, the parties to whom it is transferred, and your legal rights.
1. Data Controller
In accordance with the KVKK, your personal data may be processed by ChildSafely, acting as the data controller, within the scope described below.
2. Personal Data Processed
During your visit to our Platform and your use of our services, the following personal data is processed depending on your user type (visitor, member, parent, educator):
- Identity Data: Name, surname, title (if you register or fill out a contact form).
- Contact Data: Email address, other contact information you provide in communication requests.
- Transaction Security Data: IP address, site access date and time information, device and browser information (Collected under Law No. 5651 due to legal obligations and system security requirements).
- Customer/User Transaction Data: Your navigation movements within the Platform, log records related to the agreements and information notices you have approved.
3. Purpose of Processing Your Personal Data
Your collected personal data is processed for the following purposes, in accordance with the conditions specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the KVKK:
- To fully provide the services offered through the Platform (trainings, events, AI tools) and to carry out membership processes,
- To respond quickly and accurately to your communication requests, questions, and support notifications,
- To carry out the Platform's information security processes, fix technical errors, and take precautions against cyber attacks,
- To fulfill legal requests from authorized public institutions and organizations and to meet our legal obligations,
- To lawfully operate the parent/guardian information and explicit consent processes, which are mandatory for child users.
4. Method and Legal Basis for Personal Data Collection
Your personal data is collected automatically or partially automatically through electronic means via our website, mobile applications, membership forms, contact forms, cookies, and system logs. This data is processed based on the legal grounds stated in KVKK Article 5/2:
- The necessity of processing personal data belonging to the parties of a contract, provided that it is directly related to the establishment or performance of the contract (Requirement of the membership agreement),
- The necessity for the data controller to fulfill its legal obligation (Logging requirement under Law No. 5651),

In special cases not covered by legal grounds (e.g., data of users under 18 or use of foreign infrastructure), the legal basis relied upon is your explicit consent (explicit consent of the guardian).
5. Transfer of Your Personal Data
ChildSafely does not sell user data to third parties for commercial gain, advertising, or marketing purposes under any circumstances. Your personal data may be transferred, solely for the realization of the purposes mentioned above and in accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK, to:
- Authorized public institutions (e.g., BTK, judicial authorities) to fulfill our obligations arising from legal regulations,
- Your data may be transferred, with necessary security measures in place, to our domestic and/or international technology suppliers, with whom we have confidentiality agreements, from whom we receive technical services for matters such as Platform hosting, database security, and email sending.
6. Your Rights as a Data Subject Under KVKK Article 11
As a real person whose personal data is processed, you have the following rights under Article 11 of the KVKK:
- To learn whether your personal data is processed, and if so, to request information about it,
- To learn the purpose of processing your personal data and whether it is used in accordance with its purpose,
- To know the third parties to whom your personal data is transferred, domestically or abroad,
- To request correction of your personal data if it is incomplete or incorrectly processed,
- To request the erasure or destruction of your personal data (Right to be Forgotten) within the framework of the KVKK and relevant legislation,
- To object to the occurrence of a result against you by analyzing your processed data exclusively through automated systems.
