CHILDSAFELY LICENSE AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY NOTICE
1. "BE INTERNET AWESOME" CONTENT LICENSE
The original ownership of the "Be Internet Awesome" (Are You Ready to Be an Internaut?) content (activities, lesson plans, videos, etc.) featured on our platform as part of the ChildSafely project belongs to Google LLC.
- Development and Attribution: The original content may be translated into Turkish, developed, or supported with additional modules by us. However, it is mandatory to clearly attribute the original Google content on the platform.
- Status of New Materials: The ownership of new sections added and developed by us belongs to our organization. Nevertheless, all new educational materials created within the scope of the project are publicly shared under the CC BY 4.0 license, in line with the open-source philosophy.
2. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY (IP) AND OPEN SOURCE SHARING PRINCIPLES
Intellectual properties (IP) created using Google funds within the scope of the project are subject to the following open-source conditions:
- Software and Code: All developed infrastructure, code, and software are shared under the Apache 2.0 license.
- Creative Content: Prepared videos, guides, visuals, and other educational designs are shared under the CC BY 4.0 license.
- Sharing Period and Accessibility: All content produced is openly published within a maximum of 3 months from its creation, making it accessible to everyone and discoverable by search engines. No patent application can be made for any content or code produced within the scope of the project.
- Data Sharing: Data created within the scope of the project is shared openly, provided that personal data protection and privacy laws are reserved.
3. BRAND RIGHTS AND TERMS OF USE
The brand ownership of the stakeholders forming our platform is secured by mutual agreements:
- Organization Assets: The ownership of visual elements such as logos, brands, and project information belonging to RobinCode and ChildSafely always remains with our organization. While Google does not own these assets, it has the right to use them solely for project promotion purposes under a free, non-transferable, and non-exclusive license.
- Google Brands: Google brands, logos, and the phrase "supported by Google.org" may only be used with Google's prior written consent and in strict compliance with Google's brand guidelines.
4. LICENSE SUMMARIES AND LEGAL PROTECTION
Individuals and organizations using the content and code on our platform are assumed to accept the following license limitations:
Apache 2.0 License (For Code and Software)
- Permission to Use: The code may be used, copied, and modified for any purpose, including commercial. Distributors must preserve the "NOTICE" file containing the license text and copyright notices.
- Trademark Protection and Disclaimer of Warranty: This license does not permit the use of RobinCode or ChildSafely trademarks (logo, name, etc.). The code is provided "AS IS"; no warranty is given by us, and our organization cannot be held responsible for damages arising from the use of the code.
CC BY 4.0 License (For Educational Materials and Visuals)
- Attribution Requirement: Content ownership belongs to us. Users are required to clearly attribute our organization when using our content.
- Unrestricted Sharing: The license cannot be narrowed; everyone can use the materials with the same rights. Users cannot hold our organization responsible for consequences arising from the content.
